The call for funding the Compost & AD Quality Protocols revisions has been released
REA Organics, together with ADBA, CIWM and ESA trade associations have just released their call for funding the compost and anaerobic digestion Quality Protocol revisions.
The revisions are due to take place starting this summer, via dedicated Task and Finish groups set up for each Quality Protocol.
The first stage of the process is to secure funding from industry, including producers and other key stakeholders who are reliant on these vital end of waste frameworks.
Withdrawal of support of the Quality Protocols by regulators will mean that PAS100 and PAS110 certified organics will require regulatory permissions (standard rules land spreading deployments) to store and spread to land. The implications of this is significant, both in terms of cost and market perception.
It’s time to act.
