Rossington Restoration Gets the Green Light

4R Group has secured a project to restore yet another UK colliery spoil tip.  The application is currently with the Environment Agency for approval of Phase I of the restoration of Rossington Former Colliery, just south of Doncaster in South Yorkshire.

Upon approval the 32 hectare area will be treated with suitable organic and lime based materials to create sustainable soils to establish woodland and amenity grassland.

The project is likely to take 36 months but upon completion will be a visually appealing landscape that blends with the local surroundings and contributes to a greener sustainable future for the former coal mining area.
