Field Officer/Land Finder Vacancy
We are recruiting within the company and have two full-time, permanent home-based Field Officer/Land Finder positions available, one in the North West region and another in the South Wales/Gloucester/Hereford region.
This excellent opportunity includes working with our team of By-product Sales and Recycling Field Officers in promoting and selling the benefits of the by-products we recycle to land. You will need to be an active part of the farming community and your strong communication skills will help you to build good relationships with local farmers, enabling you to discuss their fertiliser needs and agree use of our own range of by-products for their maximum benefit.
You must be based within the region you will work in. Duties will include helping to identify new farm customers and recycling sites; assisting in the supervision of daily recycling operations; soil sampling; mapping and risk assessments.
We will give you the support of our specialist, in-house technical team who will provide the training to ensure you fully understand the required tasks as well as the advantages and benefits of the by-products to be recycled. Ongoing technical/agronomic backup will then be given along with the opportunity for you to develop your career within the company.
Essential requirements:
- Agricultural background and contacts
- Agricultural, Soil Science, Environmental qualification and/or BASIS (FACTS) registered
- Self-motivated, confident with mature attitude, able to work unsupervised as required
- IT Proficient
- Full clean driving licence
Remuneration will be tailored to the individual, but will include a competitive salary (within the range of £26,000 to £32,000 subject to qualifications and experience), 25 days holiday plus the 8 recognised and customary Public Holidays, enrolment in our occupational pension scheme, use of a company funded vehicle and career progression.
