Womersley Spoil Tip Eastern Flank

Pictured on 20^th April is the eastern flank of Womersley Spoil tip.

Seeded in September 2017 using a low maintenance, non-rye grass seed mix the 30-hectare area has struggled to grow through the winter and extremely wet conditions experienced in the last few months. Now however it has really started to improve.

Whereas previously this area was completely black and devoid of plant growth, the soils from spoil process is really taking hold.

Any remaining bare patches killed by the bad weather will be reseeded to create a completely green hillside.
